Despite losing our nationwide right to abortion in June 2022, PPGNHAIK implemented this vision by investing in programs and resources that expand access to health care, educate, and empower, through our patient navigators, teen council, and clinical trainings. As a health care organization, appropriately responding to the threat of COVID-19 was a top concern for Planned Parenthood. In 2021, staff continually worked to prevent transmission of COVID in our health centers, which remained open throughout the pandemic.

In addition to keeping patients and staff safe in our health centers, Planned Parenthood also ramped up access to telehealth services in response to the pandemic. Thousands of local patients got their health care from the safety of home in 2021, via the PP Direct app. Read our 2021 Impact Report here.

2020 was a challenging rollercoaster of a year, with misguided politicians continually attempting to defund essential health services and outlaw safe abortion access. Despite this — and navigating the pandemic – quality health care reached patients across your community, and across our six states.

This year's Annual Report is rather special. It’s the first report produced by Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawai’i, Alaska, Indiana, Kentucky. This organization now serves the largest geographic region of any Planned Parenthood affiliate in the country. The 2019 Annual Report - the first since the strategic alliance brought Planned Parenthood of The Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands and Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky together – brings home just how much of a difference you make in the lives of patients and the communities we serve.
