Planned Parenthood Health Center Staff
Planned Parenthood affiliates are separately incorporated 501(c)(3) charitable organizations that operate nearly 600 Planned Parenthood nonprofit health centers that provide essential care to 2.1 million patients annually. Planned Parenthood affiliates are trusted sources of primary and preventive care for people of all genders in communities across the country. One in three women in the United States has visited a Planned Parenthood health center. The majority (more than 70%) of Planned Parenthood patients have incomes at or below 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
Planned Parenthood Doctors, Nurses, and Health Care Staff
At Planned Parenthood health centers, gynecologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other licensed medical professionals serve every patient with care and compassion. These experienced and supportive professionals are committed to providing you with the health care you need, including birth control, pregnancy testing, STD testing, cancer screenings, wellness exams, and so much more. Many Planned Parenthood health centers are also proud to provide abortion services — where abortion is legal.
Health care assistants provide additional support. Planned Parenthood health center staff are dedicated to working with patients of all ages and genders. They want to listen to your needs and address all of your questions and concerns without judgment. They take pride in what they do: providing the highest-quality care — no matter what.
Educators, Counselors, Administrators, and More
Educators: Planned Parenthood is a trusted source of reliable sexual and reproductive health information. Planned Parenthood is the largest provider of sex education in the country. Through education, training, and community outreach programs, Planned Parenthood affiliate educators reached more than 1 million people in 2022 and millions more online.
Counselors: Professional counselors are available at many Planned Parenthood health centers to talk with you and help guide you. Planned Parenthood counselors can discuss your pregnancy options, help you work through difficult situations like sexual assault and intimate partner violence, and connect you with local resources.
Administrators: Planned Parenthood health centers depend on the hard-working dedication of administrative staff at the front desk and behind the scenes. Health center administrators help patients access financial assistance for care, manage prescriptions, and make timely appointments based on their health care needs.
