More Care Than Ever

Every year during Valentine’s Day week, we at Planned Parenthood observe National Condom Week. This is a great time to learn more about the importance of using condoms and other barrier methods and to help educate others – because everyone deserves to have a worry-free and healthy sex life.

Everyone deserves to have a safe, healthy sex life. That's why our sex educators are leading the way to tearing down one of the biggest barriers to care: stigma. There can be so many barriers when it comes to accessing health care. From seeing if you’re covered by insurance, to affording co-pays and other fees, to getting the time off to go to the appointment, perhaps getting childcare, and finally even just getting there – the journey to see a health care provider can be difficult.

Enter: The Care Coordination Program.

Four Palm Desert High School students are standing up for sex ed so that their entire school can get all of the information they need to make healthy choices in their lives.

With our curriculum growing, we have been able to help students learn comprehensive sex education and support thousands of educators that regularly teach students about topics including healthy relationships, contraception, pregnancy prevention, reproductive systems, and much more.

We launched Sex Ed To-Go six months into the Covid pandemic to support teachers who were looking for high-quality online sex ed content. Since then more than 2,000 educators and 2500 students have signed up to take our courses. We recently refreshed some of our most popular courses on anatomy, birth control, and STIs.
