Gender
Affirming
Care

We welcome everyone who needs care. Schedule a telehealth visit or in-center visit today.

WE SEE YOU.
WE HEAR YOU.
WE CARE FOR YOU.

WE SEE YOU.
WE HEAR YOU.
WE CARE FOR YOU.

We offer gender-affirming hormone therapy to patients across San Diego, Riverside, and Imperial counties. We know that transgender people, and especially transgender people of color, experience more barriers to accessing quality health care due to systemic barriers and discrimination. We are proud to provide inclusive and compassionate care for transgender, gender-nonconforming, and nonbinary patients.

How do I make an appointment?

Please schedule an appointment online or contact us at 1-888-743-PLAN to schedule an appointment for an initial hormone therapy visit or any other health services you might be seeking. At this appointment, we will review your medical history, review an informed consent form, and draw lab tests. If you’re seeking hormones, depending on your medical history, we will either prescribe the hormones to you at your first visit or wait to prescribe them until we get your lab results back.

Planned Parenthood is dedicated to making health care accessible and welcoming to everyone who needs care, no matter what.

Self-injection guidance

Some hormones used for gender-affirming hormone therapy are administered through an injection that is performed at home by the person using the hormone, or the person using hormones might have someone they trust give them the injection. If you will be using an injectable hormone, Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest staff can provide training on how to give yourself an injection, and there are videos for your reference here on our website.
