How to Create a Facebook Fundraiser

Facebook fundraisers are a great way to show your support. The money you raise helps us continue our important health care, education and advocacy work throughout our region.

Plus, Facebook fundraisers are EASY to create. We'll show you how!

Create a Fundraiser on a Desktop Computer

  1. From the dropdown menu on your Facebook main page, select “Fundraisers.”
  2. Select “Raise money for a nonprofit.”
  3. Search for “Planned Parenthood Mar Monte.”
  4. Determine how much money you want to raise (i.e. $200)
    • Don’t worry, even if you go over your fundraising goal, the non-profit will receive your full fundraising amount.
  5. Determine an end date for your fundraiser.
  6. Add a title for your fundraiser. For example fundraiser for "Sandy's fundraiser for Planned Parenthood Mar Monte.”
  7. Give a little summary about why you are raising money for PPMM
    • For example, “I am raising money Planned Parenthood Mar Monte and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.”
  8. Pick a cover photo.
  9. Hit “create”
  10. Congratulations! Your fundraiser is now live!
