PrEP & PEP

Take control of your health with PrEP & PEP, medication that can prevent HIV infection.

What is PrEP?

What is PrEP?

PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a daily medication for people who are HIV-negative but at risk of HIV infection. If taken consistency, PrEP reduces the risk of HIV by more than 90%.

What is PEP?

What is PEP?

PEP (Post Exposure Prophylaxis) is medication that you take within 3 days (72 hours) of being exposed to HIV. You don't need an appointment to get PEP at Planned Parenthood. The sooner you start, the better it works — every hour matters.

PrEP and PEP are available at your local Planned Parenthood health center.
