Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawai’i, Alaska, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky (PPGNHAIK) works to provide communities in the states of Alaska, Hawaiʻi, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, and western Washington with essential reproductive health care, proven sexuality education, and advocacy to protect reproductive rights and expand health care access. PPGNHAIK is a 501(c)(3) organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowable under the law.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America, based in Washington, DC, is the national organization that supports Planned Parenthood organizations across the country (including PPGNHAIK) with national-level programs and advocacy.

Yes. Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest, Hawai’i, Alaska, Idaho, Indiana, and Kentucky runs health centers in the states of AK, HI, ID, IN, KY, and western WA. Can I donate in honor or in memory of someone? How will they be notified?

Yes, you can donate in honor or in memory of someone. Planned Parenthood will send a note in the mail to the address specified. Please be aware that it can take up to four weeks for the card to arrive. We are unable to send email notifications or anonymous honorary notifications.

Does Planned Parenthood accept donations from rollover IRAs?

Yes; Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawai’i, Alaska, Indiana, Kentucky (PPGNHAIK) is eligible for qualified charitable distributions (QCD) through the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act of 2015. Your gift will count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year in which the check is issued and is excluded from your taxable income.

What are the legal requirements for directing a rollover IRA to Planned Parenthood?

The minimum age requirement for a rollover IRA is 70 1/2. The maximum donation amount in one year cannot exceed $100,000. Also, IRA donations must be submitted directly from your financial institution.
