Communities for Health Education Program

Access to comprehensive sex education has the potential to change the course of a young person’s future. Communities for Health Education strives to ensure broad public access to comprehensive sex education through community building and advocacy. We will train and develop supporters to deliver the most up-to-date information on sex education in their communities, and help lead the charge on fighting to ensure that all school districts are providing the comprehensive sex education that young people need and deserve.

All people deserve the right to access sexual health education free from bias, fear, and misinformation. Only when we provide students and young people with the tools and medically-accurate information they need, can they make informed decisions about their health and lives.

Communities for Health Education is intended to advocate for and promote access to comprehensive and inclusive sex education and ensure the implementation of the California Healthy Youth Act across public schools in Imperial, Riverside, and San Diego counties.
