Writer/director Joss Whedon has teamed up with Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Los Angeles on the production of a short film. Unlocked highlights the critical role that Planned Parenthood health centers play in the lives of women and in communities nationwide.

The film follows three different women through critical moments in their lives, and brings to the fore what the world would look like if attempts to shut down Planned Parenthood succeed. While the characters are fictional, inspiration comes from real-life stories and close collaboration with Planned Parenthood staff. In the making of the film, Joss and his team toured several Planned Parenthood Los Angeles health centers and shadowed a peer-focused sex education training.

You can watch the powerful and emotional film on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, or on the Planned Parenthood landing page and share it on your own social media channels using #StandWithPP.

Unlocked debuted via an exclusive with Buzzfeed: Buzzfeed: Why Joss Whedon Is Fighting For Planned Parenthood  . It’s already starting to generate some great media coverage!
