We're excited to launch our free Sex Ed Teacher Training Portal: Sex Ed To-Go.

We want to make teaching sex ed easy — even in a pandemic.

Students still need and deserve comprehensive, medically-accurate sex education — even if there's nothing normal about this school year. Please let your teacher friends know about this resource!

We've designed courses for teachers and other youth-serving professionals — tackling what they most need to know. Six short classes will set them up to effectively teach sex ed. 

  • All teachings are based on best practices with age-appropriate language and are relevant in all settings (one course focuses specifically on California state laws). 
  • Courses can be taken any time, from any smart device.
  • Includes classroom materials (lesson plans, slides, assessments) and links to other resources.

Nine courses can be assigned to students. We handle the technical details so teachers can focus on other things! Courses include:

  • Anatomy and physiology (appropriate for 6th grade and up; available in English and Spanish)
  • Pregnancy prevention (8th grade and up; available in English and Spanish)
  • Sexually transmitted infections (8th grade and up; available in English and Spanish)
  • How to access services (8th grade and up; California-specific content)
  • How to use a condom (8th grade and up; available in English and Spanish)

Why us? We have years of experience with diverse communities. We have provided training for all teachers who teach sexuality education in San Diego Unified (the 5th largest school district in the nation) for 25 years. We have years of experience working in rural communities; with refugees; in foster care and shelters; with charter schools. We know what we're doing. 

Because 2020 is difficult enough, we're offering these courses for free for the rest of the year.
