National Men’s Health Week, June 12 – 18

Planned Parenthood is a safe place for women to get affordable health care – but we’re not exclusive. A growing number of men have discovered Planned Parenthood also provides outstanding men’s health services: physical exams, sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing, vasectomies, and other issues.

In 2014, Planned Parenthood health centers served more than 250,000 male patients nationwide.

Being Proactive

Men come to Planned Parenthood to take control of their health. They may come in for an STI test or to learn their HIV status.

We make it as simple as possible for men and women to get tested – because knowledge is power. Since all STIs are treatable, and many are curable, it makes sense to find out your status, and, if necessary, to get immediate treatment. For example: We offer PrEP and nPEP, two drug regimens designed to prevent HIV transmission.

But our care goes beyond that. Because the best way to treat an infection is to prevent it altogether, we offer free or low-cost condoms and sex education.

Health is Health is Health

At Planned Parenthood, we strive to provide inclusive and respectful care for all genders. When people are truly cared for, quality of life improves for them, their families, and their communities. And no matter which box you may check on a form, you deserve factual, nonjudgmental, sexual health information and high-quality affordable healthcare.
