Planned Parenthood Celebrates Local Pride Events

Planned Parenthood proudly supports the LGBTQ+ community. That’s why we march at Pride events throughout the country, and that’s why we work so hard to provide inclusive, welcoming health care to all people.

This year, Planned Parenthood volunteers, staff, and supporters showed their support in the Fourth Annual Hemet Pride, Riverside Pride Celebrate & Hike, San Diego Pride, and Escondido Pride.

Though Hemet Pride moved online this year, staff were encouraged to attend the virtual event in solidarity as Planned Parenthood celebrates the recent opening of the new Hemet Health Center.

Pride is rooted in celebrating progress, contributions, strength, and resilience of the LGBTQ+ movement — no matter how they identify, where they live, or immigration status. This year's pride events allow us to celebrate, but it also charges us to pause, reflect, and take a stand.

As we continue to celebrate pride, we’re eager to amplify our commitment to education, health care, and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community, and, certainly, honor the cultural influences, resilience, and joy that are the signature of Pride.

Be on the lookout for the following upcoming events:

South Bay Pride & Music Festival

Aug. 21

Join South Bay Pride in celebrating their 13th annual Pride event! Festivities will take place Saturday Aug. 21, 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Embrace difference through art, live music, great food, yoga, and lifestyle.

Imperial Valley Pride

Oct. 4 – Oct. 9

Join us at the 6th Annual Imperial Valley Pride Celebration! Last year, festivities included a Trans Pride virtual event, an Allyship 101 virtual event, Friday Drag and Talent show, and Saturday Pride Caravan/Parade. Register today to get involved with the Imperial Valley Pride community.

Palm Springs Pride

Nov. 1 – Nov. 7

Join our contingent at this year’s Palm Springs Pride as they celebrate their 35th anniversary! Festivities begin Nov. 1 with the George Zander Candlelight Vigil and March. The Pride Festival takes place throughout Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 6 and 7) and the Pride Parade itself, where you can join our contingent is on Sunday, Nov. 7 at 10:00 a.m. Many fun events will be scheduled throughout the weekend, and the above-mentioned Pride events are free.
