While the past year has brought tremendous challenges and unexpected difficulties, we’re incredibly proud of the work we were able to accomplish throughout our three-county region. In western Riverside County and Coachella Valley specifically, we made important investments in the community to increase our ability to provide high-quality care to more people. Through the Rancho Mirage and Coachella health center remodel and expansion efforts, we doubled-down on our commitment to invest in communities, improve quality of care, and support health equity.

As we saw the needs of the community increase, we worked to expand our Coachella Health Center to be able to serve more patients and provide a welcoming, caring, and beautiful environment for their visits. Our health center in Coachella will now feature three additional patient care rooms, a more updated look and feel, and significant security updates.

In addition to our wonderful remodeling and expansion efforts in Rancho Mirage and Coachella, we also supported local organizations on the ground through our Community Justice Support Fund, which provided financial resources to start new programs, enhance services, along with ensuring various operational expenses were covered for their staff and clients, especially during the pandemic. “Through these partnerships, we’re able to foster relationships with local community organizations that are providing invaluable services and support for communities in the Coachella Valley and across Riverside County,” said Karen Borja, Director of Community Engagement in Riverside County.

We’re so proud of this amazing work and are excited for this next step in expanding access to quality health care in the Coachella Valley. As always, we will continue to work towards a world where health care doesn’t depend on who you are or where you live, and where every person has the opportunity to decide their own path to a healthy and meaningful life.
