Advocate on social media

This is one of the opportunities to volunteer on your own time with PPMM from our Take Action Volunteer Toolkit. Check out additional opportunities on our volunteer page. 

Advocating for PPMM on social media is an immediate and effective way to take action to support us. Studies show that people are more likely to take action if they see that their friends support something on social media. So post on social media about why you support PPMM and share a link encouraging your friends to take action.

Step 1: Write a post about why you support PPMM and how other people can support us too by including one of the below links (and see examples at the bottom of this page).

"I stand with Planned Parenthood Mar Monte because... [write why you support PPMM]. And you can support them too! [Include one of the links below.]"

Step 2: (Optional) Take a picture of yourself holding a sign saying "I stand with PPMM."

Step 3: Post it on social media using the hashtags #ppmarmonte #wearemarmonte and #istandwithPP

Step 4: Report your impact with the actions you took and the time you spent. This will allow us to track our volunteer hours and the impact you're having. NOTE: Include the link to the social media post in the impact reporting form so we can share it!
