Abortion Pill (Medication Abortion)

Abortion pill (medication abortion) is offered up to 10 weeks and 0 days after the start of your last menstrual period.

If your last period was more than 10 weeks and 0 days ago, read about our in-clinic abortion services below.

Abortion pill (medication abortion) services are available by appointment only.

Plan to be at the health center for 4-6 hour(s) for your entire abortion pill visit (medication abortion).

You will need to follow up within 1-2 weeks to make sure your abortion is complete and that you are well. In the unlikely event that you are still pregnant, you may need another dose of medication or to have an in-clinic abortion to end the pregnancy.

After your abortion pill visit, you will need access to a telephone, transportation, and backup medical care available to you once you are home.

In-Clinic Abortion

In-clinic abortion is offered up to 13 weeks and 6 days after the start of your last menstrual period. If your last period was after 13 weeks and 6 days, we can still help. Call us for a referral list of health care providers in your area that offer other abortion services.

In-clinic abortions are available by appointment only.

Plan to be at the health center for hour(s) for your entire visit for an in-clinic abortion.

If you have asthma, bring an inhaler if you have one.

The Pennsylvania Abortion Control Act requires two visits in order to receive an abortion. Your first visit, known as the Informed Consent Visit, must occur at least 24 hours before you can return for your abortion during your second visit. You will receive an ultrasound to determine weeks of gestation (how 'far along' you are) and blood work. You will receive information about all of your options and the risks involved in pregnancy, delivery and abortion. You will also be informed about the two types of abortion that we offer: In-Clinic and Medication. The cost for your Informed Consent Visit is $60 and is non-refundable. If you return for an abortion, the $60 is deducted from your final cost.
Medication Abortions are offered to 63 days (9 weeks). In-Clinic Abortions are offered to 13 weeks and 6 days.
In order to be confident that you are not being forced into this, you must call to schedule your own appointment
You will never be pressured into choosing abortion, parenting or adoption. Only you can decide what is best for you. Everything you share with us is strictly confidential.
We encourgage all women considering abortion to bring a trusted support person. Minors (anyone under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. You will be required to provide proof that you are either the parent or legal guardian of the minor.
If you are a minor who is unable to bring a parent or legal guardian, we will contact an attorney who can assist you with a Judicial By-Pass.
