Telehealth counseling sessions may be free or partially covered by your insurance. If you do not have insurance, sessions are $75 for an hour. A Planned Parenthood expert could speak with you today about other payment options.

CBT

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of therapy that explores your thoughts, the way you think, and how your unconscious, deep-rooted thoughts impact the way you act.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a form of therapy that works to enable individuals to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing or traumatizing life experiences. 

Brainspotting

Combining aspects of EMDR, mindfulness, and brain and body-based therapy techniques, brainspotting is an alternative therapy that uses spots in a person's visual field to help them process trauma.

DBT

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for individuals who feel emotional intensely. DBT identifies and changes negative thinking patterns in order to see positive behavioral changes.

Group Therapy

We offer various 1-2 hour-long support groups weekly to connect individuals with relatable life experiences, including:

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) therapy is already used in talk therapy and can incorporate various stress-reducing techniques including meditation therapy.  It is used to help with depression, and anxiety, among other issues.

We serve ages 13-66 years old. Ages 13-17 need the consent of a parent or guardian.

Common FAQs

How long are counseling sessions?

Our counseling sessions are one hour long, EMR sessions are 90 minutes, and group sessions range from 60 – 90 minutes.  

How much is a counseling session?

The out-of-pocket price for a one-hour counseling session is $75. Many insurance providers fully or partially cover telehealth counseling, and a Planned Parenthood representative can help you apply for fee waivers, insurance, or other financial assistance options. Everyone deserves access to high quality therapy services. 

How long will it take me to get an appointment?

We are proud to offer virtual counseling sessions with wait times as little as 1 – 2 weeks. Request the appointment date and time that works best for you, then get a response from a compassionate PPSENFL therapist shortly!

Can a PPSENFL therapist prescribe psychiatric medication?

No, our licensed clinicians cannot prescribe medicine but can provide diagnosis, therapeutic treatment, and connect you to community resources.

Do I have to be a current patient of yours to access mental health care? 

No! Patients can come to us solely for mental health services without receiving any other services.

How long is treatment? 

This is different for everyone and depends on several factors, such as the person's availability for care, severity of symptoms, etc. On average, treatment can range from 6 months to 1 year.

Do you have a sliding scale?

Not at this time, however, we do have student interns who are supervised by licensed clinicians and can provide pro-bono services to individuals who qualify.
