Insurance & Payment Options

We accept many different types of insurance and offer a variety of payment options to patients. 

If you are uninsured or not a U.S. citizen, you may be able to receive low-to-no-cost health services through state-funded programs. Our staff can help you enroll in these programs, if eligible.

Family PACT (FPACT)

We can assess your eligibility for Family PACT, a California program that covers birth control, pregnancy testing, STI testing and treatment, well-person exams, and other family planning-related services at no cost to you.

If you are eligible, we will enroll you at our health center. If you already have a teal Family PACT card, please bring it with you when you come in.

Medi-Cal

If you have Medi-Cal insurance, you can use it at any of our health centers. You must bring your insurance card or provide your social security number in order for us to bill your Medi-Cal insurance. We may also be able to help with applying for presumptive eligibility Medi-Cal to help with pregnancy-related services offered at our health centers.

We accept all Medi-Cal insurance, but some of the most common Medi-Cal plans are:

  • LA Care
  • Health Net 
  • Anthem Blue Cross 
  • Allied Physicians
  • Blue Shield Promise
  • Molina 
  • Care 1st
  • Healthcare LA IPA
  • Preferred IPA
Private Insurance

If you have insurance through Covered California, your employer, or other private insurance, please bring your card with you to your appointment. We will verify your insurance benefits to find out what services are covered. While your insurance may ask that you contribute towards the cost, we are committed to helping you get the care you need.

We are contracted with the following insurances:

  • Anthem Blue Cross (PPO)
  • Aetna (PPO)
  • Blue Shield of CA (PPO)
  • Cigna (PPO)
  • Oscar (PPO)
  • Kaiser Medi-Cal (Medi-cal Managed)
  • Kaiser (HMO) (Contraceptive and Abortion Services only)

If you are covered under another person’s health plan in California, like your parents or your spouse, your insurance company may send payment information about your visit to your home address. However, you may request that your health insurance plan ensure your health information stays private and secure.

Self Pay

You can always pay for your services with cash, debit card, credit card, or flexible spending accounts (FSA).

If you are paying out of pocket for your services, we can work with you to assess your family size and income to determine if you qualify for a discounted fee.

Notice of Good Faith Estimate 

  •  You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. 
  • If you schedule your service at least three days in advance, make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. 
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. 
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

Open Payments Database Notice

The Open Payments database is a federal tool used to search payments made by drug and device companies to physicians and teaching hospitals. For informational purposes only, a link to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Open Payments web page is provided here:  https://openpaymentsdata.cms.gov. The federal Physician Payments Sunshine Act requires that detailed information about payment and other payments of value worth over ten dollars ($10) from manufacturers of drugs, medical devices, and biologics to physicians and teaching hospitals be made available to the public.
