In addition to operating five Health Centers in Dutchess, Ulster, Orange and Sullivan counties, Planned Parenthood Mid-Hudson Valley also engages with our community through outreach, education and advocacy. How can you contribute?
1) Share your Planned Parenthood story.
Now more than ever, PPMHV needs your help. Current and former patients willing to share their stories can help us fight back against constant politically-motivated attacks. If you've been a Planned Parenthood patient at reduced or no cost and want to go on record about your experience, please get in touch with us by sending an email to [email protected].
2) Volunteer in your community.
PPMHV has volunteer and activist opportunities throughout the year, and there is something for every level of participation: From standing in support at pro-PP events to phone banking, patient escorting, tabling at health fairs and attending community events / meetings, we'll help you navigate a role that works best with your interests and schedule.
If you are interested in volunteering with PPMHV, please Download our Volunteer Application.
3) Learn more about our issues.
PPMHV is constantly working on issues that matter in our communities. Whether you're interested in abortion rights, LGBQ / TGNC inclusion, comprehensive sex ed, maternal mortality, sexual assault justice or other policy initiatives, you can find more information on our issues here.
4) Get information about local events.
Planned Parenthood has a number of different events throughout communities in the Mid-Hudson Valley, including fundraising endeavors, conferences, health fairs, professional trainings and opportunities to be social. The best way to learn about what we have cooking is through our weekly emails.
5) Support PPMHV Action on Social Media.
6) Make a donation.
Big or small, generous donations from folks like you help these doors stay open. Make a donation today to support our health services, community education, outreach and advocacy efforts in our local community. Every bit helps!
7) Intern with PPMHV or start a GenAction chapter on your campus.
Internships are a rewarding way to learn from the seasoned PPMHV team while also doing your part in the fight for reproductive justice. With so many departments in need of your skills, why not inquire?
PPMHV provides members of Generation Action with resources for school-specific campaigns – from speakers and facilitators to free consulting on events and outreach to tabling materials.
If you'd like to start a GenAction chapter, call (845) 838-1200 ext. 104 or email [email protected].
