Yes. Abortion is still safe, legal and accessible at Planned Parenthood of Greater New York health centers and abortion clinics across New York state. 

Now that the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, how does it impact the future of abortion access in New York?

Abortion is still safe and legal in New York State. The Reproductive Health Act of 2019 secures the right to abortion in New York State despite the court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. That means all New Yorkers and people from out-of-state who seek health care services in New York State can legally access abortion.

Abortion is a very safe procedure, and it almost always works -- over 99% of the time. It's also very common. Overall, about 1 in 4 women in the U.S. will have an abortion by the time they’re 45 years old
