We are here to provide you with care and resources to get the abortion care you need. We believe your body is your own. You, and only you, should control your personal medical decisions.

Abortion care remains protected by a Massachusetts state law, the ROE Act, passed in 2020. Abortion care is legal in the state up to 24 weeks of pregnancy and after 24 weeks in cases of fatal fetal anomalies or to preserve the physical or mental health of a pregnant person.

Is abortion still legal?

Abortion is legal in Massachusetts – the Supreme Court decision does NOT change this. Abortion is protected under Massachusetts state law up to 24 weeks of pregnancy and past 24 weeks in cases of fatal fetal anomalies or to protect the physical or mental health of the pregnant person. If you already have an appointment booked, you can still get your abortion.

Are Planned Parenthood health centers closing? Can I still get an abortion at Planned Parenthood?

Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts health centers are open. You can still get an abortion at Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts. If you have an appointment, rest assured that you will be able to keep that appointment. If you need to make an appointment or have questions, visit pplm.org or give us a call at 1-800-258-4448.

Where can I go to get an abortion near me?

If you’re pregnant and seeking an abortion, your nearest Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts health center can determine how far along you are in your pregnancy and help you understand your options as well as provide referrals to other health care providers should that be needed.
