Why Get Tested?

HIV is a significant problem. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that 1.1 million people are living with HIV (2016), and an estimated 14%, or 1 in 7, are unaware of their status. 

Lack of access to treatment and care along with social stigma can make living with HIV difficult. But with early diagnosis, uncertain individuals will know their HIV status and should be placed in appropriate treatment and care.
