The College of NJ Health Center offers the following birth control methods:
- birth control patch
- birth control pill
- birth control shot
- birth control vaginal ring (NuvaRing)
- female condom
- fertility awareness method
- IUD (hormonal)
- IUD (copper)
Birth control services are available:
on a walk-in basis: Depo-Provera ("The Shot") injections and prescription contraceptive (birth control) supply pick up is available on a walk in basis for current family planning clients.
Walk-in hours are:
- Tuesday 10A - 5P
- Wednesday 10A - 5P
Emergency contraception is available any time TCNJ Health Services is open.

If you are a current patient with us, no appointment is necessary. Also, if you are a current patient and would like to use our Rapid Refill program, you can call in your order at (609)-599-4881 and choose the Rapid Refill option.
Here’s what you need to know about birth control at this health center:
Some of the birth control pills that we offer are Low-Ogestrel, Sronyx (NEW substitute for Microgestin), Ortho Novum 1/35, Ortho Tri Cyclen, and Micronor.
If you qualify, you may be able to receive certain birth control services without a pelvic exam.
If required, you may have to schedule a Pap test or a breast exam before getting a hormonal birth control method.
In order to obtain an IUD, we may first require an exam and a Pap test.
Proper Attire™, Planned Parenthood’s exclusive line of condoms, is available at this health center.
