Welcome, students! Planned Parenthood is here for you.

Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida accepts a variety of insurance plans including plans from South Florida.

Stay on Your Parent’s Plan

Planned Parenthood makes it easy for you to get ready for one of the most exciting times in your life. We’re here to help make it easier with a variety of reproductive health care services that you can access. Because Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida has health centers across the state, we take insurance plans that other North Florida providers do not, like Aetna Better Health and Miami Children’s Health Plan.

That mean’s you can stay on your parent’s health insurance and access important care without traveling back home.

Make an appointment online and our system will verify your insurance or give us a call and talk to someone who can help.

Different Ways to Get Birth Control Pills

Planned Parenthood makes it as easy as possible to get your birth control. One option is Pills Now Pay Later. With this option you can receive up to 13 months of pills and make monthly payments as you go. There’s also the option of Pills Now Pay Now, which is just how it sounds, you receive all 13 packs of your pills at once – with a discount. Lastly, the Mail A Pill option sends the pills directly to you!

Affordable Emergency Contraception

Accidents happen. Maybe you mess up your birth control or forget to use a condom. Emergency contraception, also known as Plan B or the “morning-after pill”, is a safe way to prevent pregnancy up to five days after unprotected sex.  Planned Parenthood allows you to pick up a box of emergency contraception without a prescription or health care visit. There is no age requirement or ID needed to purchase Plan B. Just stop by our health center and pick it up! It costs $40, cheaper than most other pharmacies.

Since the morning-after pill works better the sooner you take it, it’s a good idea to buy it BEFORE you need it.  To purchase emergency contraception, you can walk-in to any local Planned Parenthood health center.

There are other forms of emergency contraception available that require an appointment. Call us at 1-800-230-PLAN or ask at the health center to learn more.

Confidentiality

We always think it’s a good idea to have open communication regarding your sexual health with your parents or someone close to you that you can trust but we know this isn’t always a possibility. Planned Parenthood offers insurance confidentiality which means the details of your visit don’t have to be specified on the insurance bill. Staying worry-free and having that peace of mind while having fun in college makes your experience all that much better.
