Story

In Summer 2021, the Planned Parenthood Gainesville LAT/Volunteer Team decided to build an outside pantry for period products! At first, we thought of maybe a bookshelf, but then that wouldn’t be weather-proof. Somebody mentioned Little Free Libraries and that style of outdoor pantry was what we all decided on. Building for this pantry began in late summer / beginning of fall - September and October. Volunteers built two pantries - one large and one small. The smaller pantry lives at the Civic Media Center, and the larger one is still looking for a home.
