Telehealth provides patients with "face-to-face" appointments where you meet online through video with one of our Planned Parenthood providers. For Telehealth appointments, you don't need to come into the health center for the visit – you'll be connecting from separate locations via a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. You must be in the state of California during your telehealth visit. We have launched a new telehealth software that is convenient and easy!
We offer the following services through telehealth:
Birth control (pill, patch and ring)
UTI evaluation and treatment
Tips for a Successful Visit
Find a quiet, secure room to conduct your visit.
Plan to be sitting down in front of the camera of your computer or device.
Using earbuds or headphones may help protect your privacy.
Use a stable Wi-Fi connection.
Ensure there is bright lighting on your face.
Do not sit with your back to a window; it may ruin the lighting
Telehealth uses an easy-to-use videoconferencing platform that meets all HIPAA and federal security guidelines. Patients need access to a device with a web camera, mic and speakers, and reliable Internet connection.
To ensure privacy, please conduct your visit in a place that is secure and will keep your information private and confidential. Your Planned Parenthood provider will be conducting your video conferencing visit in a secure room to maintain your privacy and confidentiality.
