Too Busy to Remember Birth Control?

An IUD or contraceptive implant just may be for you! Intrauterine devices (IUDs) and implants are available for most Planned Parenthood of Greater New York patients at no cost.

These long-acting, reversible methods are highly effective. Call to make an appointment.

IUDs and Implants

An IUD is a little t-shaped piece of plastic inserted in your uterus. It lasts 3 to 12 years, depending on the type.

An implant is a tiny rod inserted in the arm. It lasts up to 3 years.

Highly Effective

IUDs and implants are highly effective. Fewer than 1 out of 100 people a year become pregnant using these methods.

You can have an IUD or implant removed at any time.

Free

PPGNY patients who qualify can get the IUD or implant, including insertion, at no cost.

Thanks to the Jerome L. Greene Foundation for making this possible!
