PrEP for Peace of Mind

PrEP

If you are at high risk of being exposed to HIV, you can take medication daily to reduce your risk of contracting the virus.

PEP

After you are exposed, you can take medications within 72 hours of exposure to reduce your risk of getting HIV.

Rapid HIV Test

Visit one of our health centers to get a rapid HIV test. We prick your finger and you'll get the results of the test within 20 minutes.

Syphilis

People who are at high risk for HIV exposure are also at risk for contracting syphilis. Syphilis is easily cured, but can be dangerous if left untreated.

How do I pay for it?

PrEP and PEP are covered by most insurance plans, including Medi-Cal, Medicare, and private employer plans.

If you do not have insurance, ask about medication assistance programs to receive PrEP or PEP at low- to no-cost for you.
