Abortion pill (medication abortion) services are available by appointment only.

Post-Appointment Information

In the unlikely event that you are still pregnant, you may need another dose of medicine or to have an in-clinic abortion to end the pregnancy.

We’ll also give you after-care instructions and a phone number you can call with any questions or concerns.

If your last period started more than 6 weeks ago, we can help connect you to other abortion options in your area.

In-clinic abortions are available by appointment only.

Preparing for your appointment

If you take any medicines, please continue to take them normally before your appointment or bring them with you on the day of your appointment.

If you have asthma, bring an inhaler if you have one.

If you desire medication to help make your in-clinic abortion more comfortable, you must have a responsible companion with you to help you get home safely.

What to expect during your appointment

When you choose an abortion service at our health center, you may also receive the following: pregnancy test pregnancy dating (ultrasound)

At times there may be protesters outside of the health center. We suggest you avoid interaction with them. Learn more about protesters at health centers.

Please do not bring children with you to the health center.

Any patient under the age of 17, must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Legal guardians must provide legal documents specifying guardianship.

If you are under the age of 18 and need help talking with your parents/caregivers or seeking judicial bypass we can help.

Payment is expected at time of service unless other arrangements have been made.

If you don’t have insurance and need help paying for your abortion, call us. We may be able to help you with financial assistance. You can also go to AbortionFunds.org for financial help.

Before your abortion, our expert and caring staff will discuss all of your pregnancy options with you to help you make sure abortion is the best decision for you. We’ll also talk with you about your health history to make sure we’re providing the best care for you.

The decision about whether to have an abortion or to continue a pregnancy is a private one for you to make in consultation with your family, partner, and doctor. Planned Parenthood offers all options counseling to give you the information you need to make a decision that is best for you, including information about adoption, abortion, and prenatal care.
If you find you are faced with an unplanned pregnancy, terminating your pregnancy is one option you have. We offer both the abortion pill and in-clinic abortions. 
We have funding which allows us to offer a discount on abortion services to those who qualify based on their income and family size.
We will go over these options when you make your appointment. If you plan to use insurance, please provide your information when you schedule your appointment and bring your card at the time of your visit.

Walk-in Information

If you need emergency contraception (AKA the morning after pill), you can walk in anytime we’re open.

You are welcome to walk in any time the Health Center is open to make an appointment or see if there is a same day appointment available. If you have the time to wait, we will make every effort to fit you in the same day. If we can’t see you, we will give you the first priority appointment available.

Birth control pick up is available during all business hours, please call ahead prior to picking up birth control prescriptions to ensure our pharmacist is on-hand to dispense medication.

You can privately and easily book your appointment online for select services 24/7. For the full set of services, you can call 803-256-4908 to book your appointment. Health center staff can also answer any questions you may have.
