Post-Appointment Information

In the unlikely event that you are still pregnant, you may need another dose of medicine or to have an in-clinic abortion to end the pregnancy.

We’ll also give you after-care instructions and a phone number you can call with any questions or concerns.

Availability

In-clinic abortion (also known as surgical abortion) is offered up to 13 weeks and 6 days after the first day of your last menstrual period.

Preparing For Your Appointment

If you take any medicines, please continue to take them normally before your appointment or bring them with you on the day of your appointment.

If you have asthma, bring an inhaler if you have one.

There may be additional charges for lab and blood work.

Payment is expected at time of service unless other arrangements have been made.

What To Expect During Your Appointment

Plan to be at the health center for 4 hour(s) for your entire visit for an in-clinic abortion.

When you choose an abortion service at our health center, you may also receive the following: pregnancy test pregnancy dating (ultrasound)

Post abortion follow ups do not include physical exams.

At times there may be protesters outside of the health center. We suggest you avoid interaction with them. This health center offers escorts to walk you inside to your appointment.

Please do not bring children to the health center.

PA Requirements

All patients are required by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to attend an information session at least 24hours prior to the abortion. This session can happen no less than 24 hours before the abortion, but may be scheduled more than 24 hours ahead of time, depending on the center’s and patient’s availability. The doctor cannot perform a procedure on a patient who has not completed this requirement. Please note: If you are UNDER 18, a parent or guardian MUST also attend the information session to sign for consent. The same parent or guardian must accompany you to your procedure. If this is not possible, judicial bypass is available. If seeking judicial bypass, please call us for more information.

If you are under the age of 18 and need help talking with your parents/caregivers or seeking judicial bypass we can help.

Additional Abortion Support

Before your abortion, our expert and caring staff will discuss all of your pregnancy options with you to help you make sure abortion is the best decision for you. We’ll also talk with you about your health history to make sure we’re providing the best care for you.

Prices include all tests, labs, consultation, and medications. We accept some insurances, and it is possible they may pay for part or all of your procedure. However, your insurance must be verified prior to your appointment. Please inform us that you’d like to use your insurance when you schedule your appointment to confirm coverage and expected payment. Payment is due in full on arrival on the day of the appointment. We accept cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover), or a money order. No checks. If you are using someone else’s credit card, that person must be present at your appointment with ID matching the name on the card. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
