HIV Services in Petoskey, MI

Petoskey Health Center offers the following services:

• HIV testing
• HIV education
• HIV referrals

• PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), a medication regimen to help prevent HIV for individuals with high risk of exposure. (PrEP is also available via telehealth.)
• PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis), a series of pills that reduces your chances of getting HIV if you start taking it within 72 hours after exposure to HIV. 

Here’s what you need to know about HIV testing at this health center:

Rapid HIV testing can be done with a blood sample taken from a finger stick. The results are available in 10-40 minutes.

HIV testing is done by a blood draw. The results are available in days.

HIV counseling referral services are available.

HIV treatment referral services are available.

Counseling and anonymous (without your name) or confidential (private) testing for HIV are provided by trained staff who are sensitive to your needs and concerns.

Results must be given in person.

Some HIV services may be covered by your insurance. If you want to use your insurance, please be sure to have your insurance information at the time of your visit.

Medicaid, Medicaid Family Planning Benefits Program, and Medicaid for Pregnant Women accepted.
