Tips for a Successful Visit
You must be in the State of Michigan during your visit.
Find a quiet, secure place to conduct your visit.
You may use earbuds or headphones to help protect your privacy.
Ensure there is bright lighting on your face, and don't sit with your back to a window.
Use a stable Wi-Fi or cell connection when possible.
Have your state ID, or school ID/year book for minors, ready to show on camera at the time of your appointment.
Telehealth uses an easy-to-use videoconferencing platform that meets all HIPAA (see our HIPAA policy) and federal security guidelines. Patients need access to a device with a web camera, microphone, speakers/headphones, and reliable Internet connection.
To ensure privacy, please conduct your visit in a place that is secure and will keep your information private and confidential. Your Planned Parenthood provider will be conducting your video conferencing visit in a secure room to maintain your privacy and confidentiality.
