Education and Training

For 50 years, we have been committed to providing positive, comprehensive sex education for both youth and adults.

Education and Training

Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon is dedicated to helping young people develop healthy attitudes and behaviors that serve them well throughout their lives. For 50 years, we have been committed to providing positive, comprehensive sex education for both youth and adults, as well as training for those who work with and care about young people.

As the largest and most respected providers of sexuality education in Oregon, our programs reach more than 11,000 youth and adults each year. We provide workshops and trainings for parents, faith leaders, educators, and others who work with families and youth, with the goal of expanding the network of supportive adults who are prepared and available to teach young people about their sexual health.

Education and Training Programs

Programs for Youth

PPSO provides age-appropriate sessions for elementary, middle, and high school youth in both school and community settings.

Our medically accurate programs are enthusiastically received by teachers, parents, and students. Our community educators support teachers in addressing specific Health Education Standards and Oregon State Benchmark Categories.

Programs for College and University Settings

PSO supports young adults in accessing sexual health and relationship information that addresses their unique stage of life.

Programs for Parents, Adults, and Professionals

PPSO offers training for professionals who work with youth, enhancing their knowledge, skills and comfort around sexuality and sexual health. Our goal is to develop a network of ‘askable’ adults who are informed and trusted resources for young people, and who are prepared and available to support them in their sexual health.

Youth Leadership Program

REV(OLUTION) is a powerful youth leadership program that engages young people in educating their communities about sexual health issues and policies that are relevant to their lives.

We believe young people have much to contribute and provide youth partners with opportunities to empower themselves, educate their peers, network within their communities and create positive change.
