California Healthy Youth Act

The California Healthy Youth Act (CHYA) is a state law that requires school districts to ensure students in grades 7-12 receive instruction covering human growth and development, including comprehensive sexual health education as well as HIV prevention education.

If you're in need of Technical Assistance to ensure your district or school site is fully compliant with CHYA, PPOSBC can help. Email [email protected]
