Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan New Jersey has some additional questions to ask of all of our patients.
■ Do you currently have a fever OR cough OR shortness of breath?
■ Have you traveled to mainland China, Iran, Italy, Japan or South Korea in the last 14 days?
■ Have you been in contact with someone who has had a lab test positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus)?
If NO to all: Proceed with the usual appointment process.
If YES to any question: Because we do not have the facilities needed to take care of patients who have or could have coronavirus, we are unfortunately not able accommodate an appointment at this time.
We will schedule you when you are feeling well. If you experience any severe symptoms such as high fever or difficulty breathing, you should call 911 or seek care in an emergency room.
Rest assured, Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan New Jersey health centers are taking necessary precautions to protect our patients’ and staff members’ safety in light of the Coronavirus.
- Only patients are allowed in our health centers (If you were told to have an escort for your visit, please ask them to meet you after your appointment.)
- We do not offer Coronavirus testing in any of our health centers. For information on testing, call 1-800-222-1222.
- If you are experiencing a fever OR cough OR shortness of breath, please do not come to one of our health centers for your appointment or walk-in.
Thank you for your understanding.
