Women’s Health Advocates to Host State House Legislative Breakfast and Lobby Day for 40th Anniversary of Roe v Wade

BOSTON— On January 14th, a coalition of women’s health advocates and progressive organizations will host a Legislative Breakfast and Lobby Day one week before the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v Wade that made abortion legal in the United States.
The event will begin with a speaking program featuring women’s health champions, including Senate President Therese Murray, and renowned women’s health policy expert Paula Johnson, MD, MPH, Executive Director of the Connors Center for Women's Health and Gender Biology and Chief of the Division of Women's Health at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
After the speaking program, women’s health supporters from across the state will attend meetings with their state representatives and senators. Attendees will ask their lawmakers to co-sponsor legislation that will expand access to reproductive health care and comprehensive sexuality education in Massachusetts.
