Western MA HIV Survey and Interviews 

Survey 

Planned Parenthood has asked an external consultant, Amaka Consulting and Evaluation Services (ACES), to help us better understand HIV/AIDS prevention in western Massachusetts. We need your help in learning more about your communities' perspectives, experiences, and concerns with HIV/AIDS and the available prevention resources. Survey participation is completely voluntary and the choice to participate or not will have no effect on medical care, education, or other resources you may receive from Planned Parenthood now or in the future. If you choose to participate, you will be asked questions about how you view stigma (negative social attitudes) around HIV/AIDS and also about commonly held attitudes and beliefs about HIV knowledge in your community. Participation will take approximately 30 minutes in total; the initial demographic questionnaire will take 10 minutes to complete and the survey will take 20 minutes. As a participant, you will receive a $10 gift card for taking this survey. Your survey responses will be kept anonymous.

Planned Parenthood has asked an external consultant, Amaka Consulting and Evaluation Services, to help us better understand HIV stigma, PrEP and PEP in Springfield Massachusetts. We need your help in learning more about your perspectives on and experiences with HIV and HIV stigma, and the available resources for PrEP and PEP. We are looking for perspectives from people who have had an HIV test or screening, and who are interested in learning more about PrEP and or PEP. If this does not apply to you, you're welcome to share this message with any contacts that you think would be interested in participating.

Interview participation is completely voluntary. Your interview will be anonymous and never linked to any medical records. The choice to participate (or not) will not affect medical care, education, or other resources you may receive from Planned Parenthood now or in the future.

If you choose to participate, you will be asked questions about how you view stigma (negative social attitudes) around HIV and also about commonly held attitudes and beliefs about HIV in your community. Participation will take approximately 45-60 minutes in total. As a participant, you will receive a $25 gift card for the interview. Your interview responses will be kept anonymous.
