Abortion Access Survey

Planned Parenthood has asked an external consultant, Amaka Consulting and Evaluation Services, to help us better understand reproductive healthcare access in southeastern Massachusetts. We need your help in learning more about your communities’ perspectives on and experiences with pregnancy termination (abortion) and the available resources. We are looking for perspectives from people who have personal experience with pregnancy termination, either directly themselves or through someone they know. If this does not apply to you, you're welcome to share this message with any contacts that you think would be interested in participating.

Survey and focus group participation is completely voluntary and the choice to participate or not will have no effect on medical care, education, or other resources you may receive from Planned Parenthood now or in the future.

If you choose to participate, you will be asked questions about how you view stigma (negative social attitudes) around abortion and also about commonly held attitudes and beliefs about abortion in your community. Participation will take approximately 30 minutes in total; the initial demographic questionnaire will take 10 minutes to complete and the survey will take 20 minutes. As a participant, you will receive a $20 gift card for taking this survey. Your survey responses will be kept anonymous.

We are also looking for community members to participate in focus groups.

A focus group is a way to gather thoughts, feedback, ideas, and more from a small group of individuals who come together and share their perspectives.
