Jennifer Welch is the President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Illinois. Before coming to PPIL, Jennifer was First Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS), which serves the city’s most vulnerable populations, including children in poverty, at-risk youth, seniors, people who are homeless, and domestic violence survivors and their children. Previously, at the Office of Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, she worked first as the Women’s Policy Advisor and then as the Policy Director. 
Before her tenure in government, Jennifer was the Executive Director of the Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women’s Network, which is the coalition of Chicagoland’s domestic violence service providers. Ms. Welch holds a JD from the Chicago-Kent College of Law and received her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. -
