We are looking for nurse practitioners and physician assistants at our Coachella Health Center near Palm Springs. If you know anyone who is looking to live in the lovely desert region, or you know someone already providing medical care in that area, please let me know!

As the Manager of Licensed Talent Strategy, I have the unique pleasure of talking to amazingly smart and talented nurse practitioners and physician assistants every day. Many of the candidates I speak with come to us because of the mission, and those are the folks that end up thriving here most!

In addition to having the opportunity to provide care for our patients, and doing such good work, they also do well…financially I mean! The organization has worked so hard to pay competitive rates and give our nurse practitioners and physician assistants a chance to thrive in all aspects of their life and work. Below are just a few ways, in addition to great pay, that we do this:

$45k retention bonus

You read that correctly! I know… it’s a lot! We offer a $45,000 retention bonus to our providers who work in the desert, because we believe that you should get paid well for doing good!

Work/life balance

Have you been interrupted three times since you began reading this article by a demanding and irrational human being? …I have a child too! And as the mother of a toddler, one of the greatest pleasures I have is telling nurse practitioner and physician assistant candidates that they will actually have a work/life balance at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest. We have an entire scheduling department dedicated to putting your needs first, making sure you have your schedule in advance and have the days off you need covered; and our desert health centers operate on a 4/10 schedule.

We can genuinely offer what so few employers in health care can – an authentic work/life balance – and we have done the work to make sure that balance is possible.

Would you like to know more about our work/life balance and our substantial benefits program? Email me!

Robust training program

Our training program is very robust and rigorous, spanning four months! Our new physician assistants and nurse practitioners start with three weeks of classroom training that includes our electronic health record system, non-exam visits, and an introduction into advanced skills. Then the new nurse practitioners and physician assistants go into the health center to receive 200 hours of peer-to-peer training with a health center training team. It is such an extensive program, we have had new clinicians compare it to a fellowship! A rare opportunity for new graduates and seasoned providers alike!

Makin’ it fun!

Palm Springs is a vibrant and thriving area … and our health centers in the region are filled with vibrant and thriving individuals that bring so much joy and pride to the work they do. At our Coachella Health Center, the team loves to share their food, traditions, and celebrations with one another. Whether it’s an elaborate breakfast brunch or a fun lunch potluck – this team eats together and stays together!

I would love to introduce you to our providers in the desert, who make up an inspiring team of folks!

Sound interesting? Apply today! And forward this link to anyone you know who may be right for this job.

A $3,000 bonus is offered to anyone who helps us hire a clinician in Coachella!
