Volunteer Appreciation Week is April 21 to April 27. Though we express our immense gratitude for our volunteers all year long, this is a time for us to make our volunteers feel extra special. Volunteers allow us to do so much more than we could ever do on our own. They are the heart of Planned Parenthood and inspire us to keep pushing forward. Here are some messages from staff to our volunteers:

  • “Heartfelt gratitude to all our fabulous volunteers. Your volunteerism enhances what we do and allows us to do even more than we otherwise could. Thank you for your service to Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest and the communities we serve. You truly are the 💖 of the organization!”

  • “Thank you for all of the amazing work you do for our Care Coordination team, patients, and communities!”

  • “We appreciate all volunteers who stand alongside Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest. Your work is important to our communities. Your activism and dedication make a difference and inspire us all to continue to provide care in great times of need.”

  • “Thank you for committing your time to help promote our mission and further opportunities for our patients and community! You are truly appreciated!”

  • “Volunteers are the heart of Planned Parenthood!  Thank you for all you do every day to support our staff and the communities we serve.  You are all amazing!”

Fun facts about our volunteers:

  • We currently have 287 active volunteers.

  • Last year, volunteers contributed 2,543 hours.

  • Our volunteers are diverse and represent a variety of industries including education, human resources, nursing, marketing, communications, public health, law and more!

Volunteers play an enormous role in making Planned Parenthood’s mission possible, and we are grateful for everything they do.
