In a year marked by challenges and resilience, Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest was the beneficiary of extraordinary grant support. Thanks to the generous investments of local foundations and the increase in available state funding for organizations that provide abortion, Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest received more than $8 million.
Highlights include:
$2.62 million from Essential Access Health, to provide abortion and contraceptive services to income-eligible patients
$797,370 from the state Office of Emergency Services, to improve cybersecurity throughout the affiliate
$500,000 from Essential Access Health, to support pregnant people with practical support services that help make accessing abortion care possible, including support services such as transportation, lodging, and childcare
$500,000 from the Conrad Prebys Foundation, for general support of Planned Parenthood’s services
$170,000 from the APL Logistics Foundation, to support patients traveling to PPPSW from Arizona and Texas
$100,000 from the Parker Foundation, for the expansion of the online educational platform Sex Ed To-Go
Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest was also proud to receive significant grant funding from Kaiser Permanente, Price Philanthropies, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America. With the support of so many community partners, our affiliate is poised to reach even greater heights, serving as a beacon of hope, health, and education.
