WHAT: Annual Press Conference to commemorate the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade

WHEN: Monday, January 23, 2012   11:00am

WHY: Pro-Choice advocates come together to commemorate the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Today, this landmark victory for women's health and rights is being threatened at every level. In 2011 elected officials launched an unprecedented attack on women's health care and the rights secured by the Roe decision. That's why we come together to honor our state's strong pro-choice history and our leaders who continue to trust women and protect this right for women and their families.  We come together, committed to fighting efforts at the state and federal level to take away women's healthcare coverage and access to abortion and to continue our state's legacy to protect reproductive healthcare in Connecticut.
