Planned Parenthood South Texas has three health care subsidiaries that provide a wide range of family planning and sexual health care services, including:

  • Birth Control (birth control pills, "patch," "ring," "implant," "shot," IUD, condoms, spermicide, diaphragm)
  • Pregnancy Testing
  • Emergency Contraception to reduce the risk of unintended pregnancy
  • Testing & Treatment of Sexually Transmitted Diseases/Infections
  • PrEP- Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, an HIV prevention method
  • Annual Exams for Women, including Pap Tests and Clinical Breast Exams
  • Stop Cervical Cancer – HPV vaccines, HPV testing, abnormal Pap test follow-up, evaluation and treatment to stop the progression of cervical cancer
  • Male Sexual Health Exams – physical examination that includes chest, heart, lungs, abdomen and genital area; screening for testicular cancer and instruction on performing a testicular self-exam to detect for lumps or bumps that may be cancerous
  • Menopause Care, including Mammogram Referrals

  • Referral for Adoption and Prenatal Care
  • Gender-Affirming Hormone Therapy
