Volunteers play a vital role in advancing the mission of Planned Parenthood South Texas: We provide and protect the health care and information people need to plan their families and their futures. As a volunteer, you will help us provide a higher level of service that would not be possible without your help. Volunteer Opportunities

FRONT DESK INTAKE (San Antonio only)
Provides assistance by checking in clients on surgical procedure days (i.e., termination of pregnancy).  The Front Desk Intake Volunteer may be assigned to any or all of the following duties: greets clients, checks or searches bags, and/or makes copies of client identification cards. 

SAFETY AIDE (San Antonio only)
Provides assistance to clients by physically escorting them to and from their cars and maintains visual surveillance of the facility’s front parking lot to identify safety or security concerns.

Participate in visibility events such as marches, rallies, workshops, and town halls.  Provides support to the public affairs department on activities including grassroots organizing, letter writing campaigns, media monitoring, and visits to elected officials.

Provides general clerical support to the various departments in the administrative offices. Duties include but are not limited to answering phones, data entry, and filing.

Provides support for various cultivation, fundraising, and stewardship events and initiatives including dinners, benefits, the annual luncheon, exhibitions, the BigGive, letter writing campaigns and seasonal thank-a-thons. 

Assists with outreach efforts on topics of: family planning, sexual health care, healthy relationships,and more. Delivers information directly related to Planned Parenthood Services. Assists with health fairs and tabling at events.

We have various one-time or on-call opportunities in most areas and depending on need, there may be a waiting period before volunteers are placed.  Please know we will move through the process as quickly as possible and are very grateful for your interest in volunteering with PPST!
