PPOSBC Employee Benefits

At PPOSBC, we understand the importance of a well-rounded benefits program and are dedicated to providing you with unique benefits that meet the needs of you and your family. We are proud to offer a range of plans that help protect you in the case of illness or injury.

Who's eligible?

Regular Full-Time employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week as well as Part-Time employees working a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in the benefits program. Employees may also choose to enroll family members.

On the first day of the month following 30 days of active employment, employees are eligible for:

  • Medical Services – Preventative Care, Labs, Diagnostic (X-Ray, MRI, CT Scans), Chiropractic, Telehealth, Therapy (Physical, Speech, Occupational)
  • Prescription Drug Coverage - Brand name and generic
  • Dental – Cleanings, Implants, Orthodontia, X-rays
  • Vision – Laser Vision, Lenses, Hearing, Exams
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) – Reduce taxable income, Increase spendable income (Healthcare & Dependent Care FSA)

Once benefit eligible, employees are automatically enrolled in these benefits, paid 100% by PPOSBC:

  • Basic Life Insurance – Two times their annual salary
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) – Will Preparation Services, Secure Travel Assist, Seatbelt & Airbag
  • Long-Term Disability – Rehabilitation Plan, Catastrophic Disability Benefit
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – Counseling Sessions, Legal Assistance, Financial, Parenting, Elder Care, Pet Care, Identity Theft
Supplemental Insurance
  • Voluntary Life Insurance – Employees are able to elect up to $500,000 in coverage
  • UNUM Supplemental Insurance – Short-Term Disability, Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Hospital Insurance
  • Pet Discount Program & Insurance – 20-50% off every vet visit, 50-70% back on vet bills
  • Legal & Identity Theft Protection – 24/7 Emergency legal assistance, unlimited advice and consultation, complete identity restoration
Education

Tuition Reimbursement/Education Assistance Program – After 1 year, employees are eligible for a maximum reimbursement of $3,000 per calendar year

Work/Life Balance
  • Paid Time-Off
    • Vacation: Full-Time employees can accrue up to 2 weeks in the first year. After the one year milestone, accrual will increase.
    • Sick: Full-Time employees can accrue up to 48 hours per year
    • 11 Paid Holidays
  • 401(K)/Roth Plans
    • 50% employer match, up to 6% (or 3% of salary)
    • Safe Harbor Contribution, 3% of salary
    • Discretionary Profit-Sharing Contribution
  • Paid Family Leave
    • Up to 6 weeks of supplementally paid maternity leave and up to 6 weeks of bonding leave, for a total of up to 12 weeks fully paid for a birthing parent and up to 6 weeks fully paid bonding leave for a non-birthing parent.

PPOSBC Physicians and Clinicians

Continuing Medical Education (CME)
  • Staff Physicians are eligible for:
    • Full-time status: Maximum reimbursement of $2,000 and 40 hours of CME time per calendar year.
    • Part time/Per-diem status: Maximum reimbursement of $1,000 and 20 hours of CME time per calendar year.
  • Advance Practice Clinicians are eligible for:
    • Full-time status: Maximum reimbursement of $1,000 and 20 hours of CME time per calendar year.
    • Part time/Per-diem status: Maximum reimbursement of $500 and 10 hours of CME time per calendar year.
Paid Time Off
  • Physicians are eligible for:
    • Vacation: Accrue up to 4 weeks in the first year. Accrual will increase after the 5 year milestone
    • Sick: Accrue up to 48 hours per year
    • 11 paid holidays
  • Clinicians are eligible for:
    • Vacation: Accrue up to 3 weeks in the first year. Accrual will increase after the 5 year milestone
    • Sick: Accrue up to 48 hours per year
    • 11 paid holidays

Physicians and Clinicians are eligible for:

  • Malpractice Insurance
  • Weekend Differentials – 20%
  • License Renewal Reimbursement – PPOSBC pays for renewal fees of required licensure and certifications.
  • Alternative 4 day work week schedule available
