Talking Parents, Healthy Teens
An eight-week program designed to teach groups of parents, caregivers, and adults that work with youth healthy communication skills for conversations surrounding sexual development and health.

Why Choose This Program?
Developed by researchers at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), this eight-week program aims to promote healthy sexual development and reduce risky behaviors in youth through evidence-based communications skill building. Planned Parenthood of Orange & San Bernardino Counties (PPOSBC) is the sole agency awarded funds by the California Department of Public Health, Maternal Child and Adolescent Health division to provide this comprehensive parent/caring adult program.
Sessions are available in both English and Spanish.
Who Can Attend?
Groups of at least five parents/caretakers or professionals working with adolescents. If you’re not part of a group but are still interested in attending, fill out our interest form and request to be connected with a group.
When are Sessions Held?
Groups can choose a day and time each week that works best for them. Our Health Educators will accommodate preferred dates and times for the eight, one-hour courses.
Where are Sessions Held?
Expert Health Educators can come to your community-based location or school site, or provide virtual lessons.
