On Women's Equality Day, we reflect on our history and chart a path toward true equality. At Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties (PPOSBC), we recognize that access to reproductive health care and the power to make your own personal health decisions is key to achieving equality. We’re dedicated to empowering and equipping everyone with the knowledge, freedom, and power to achieve optimal reproductive health.

From birth control to cancer screenings and abortion care, our services allow individuals to determine their parenthood journey. Unplanned pregnancies can impact many aspects of a person’s life including financial instability, housing insecurity, and can curtail education and/or careers, especially for those in underserved communities.

Healthcare is an essential right, not a privilege. PPOSBC strives to shatter accessibility barriers through low to no-cost reproductive health services, fostering inclusivity regardless of personal circumstances. Our high-quality, compassionate, and confidential care paves the way for individuals to seize control of their health and future, regardless of their income, race, or background.

Empowerment begins with access. Join us in championing abortion access and dismantling barriers that threaten reproductive rights by getting involved with Planned Parenthood. Celebrate Women's Equality Day by standing together for choice, empowerment, and a healthier, more equitable community.

Abortion was legal in 1974 and I had one. I never regretted it. We could not afford another child. I went to college and became a RN, my husband got a good paying job and we raised our two boys. They both are college graduates and fathers of children who are in college now. I knew having a third child would break us, I do not talk about this but so grateful I had a choice. We will be married 55 years this July.
