Birth Control Refills

By coming to Planned Parenthood for care and getting your birth control directly through Planned Parenthood, you help us fulfill our mission to ensure everyone can access high quality, affordable care.

As a result of COVID-19, we strongly advise patients utilize our birth control by mail option. Shipping takes between 3-5 days. Utilizing this service helps to limit in-person interactions at our health centers. Health center birth control pickups will be available for urgent needs only and screenings for symptoms, as well as temperature checks, will be required. Guests, visitors, or children are not allowed in the health centers at this time.

  2. Go to the Mail tab.
  3. Write a message, including your prescription number as well as your shipping address or the Planned Parenthood clinic where you'd like to pick up.

I'm out of refills.  How do I get a new prescription?

You can get a new prescription for birth control from your phone. Try using Planned Parenthood Direct -- no appointment necessary!

When will I get my refills in the mail?

If you live in Minnesota, North Dakota, or South Dakota, we offer free shipping on birth control refills. We'll process your order within 24-48 hours and have your birth control in the mail within 3-5 business days. If you haven't received your prescription within seven days, give us a call at 1-855-831-6346.

Do I need to be at home to receive the package?

You do not need to be home to sign for receiving your prescription package.  Your package will arrive with your regular mail and will be packaged in an unmarked shipping envelope.

What does the package look like?

Your privacy is a top concern for Planned Parenthood. The package will be in a plain shipping envelope. It will not say Planned Parenthood anywhere on the outside of the package.
