For three generations, Planned Parenthood of North Central Ohio (PPNCO) diligently worked to build an impressive legacy. Although our challenges grew more acute each day - AIDS, teenage pregnancy, political assaults on a woman's right to choose - PPNCO remained committed to our founder, Margaret Sanger's vision: a tradition of choice built on responsibility, respect and leadership.
Since 1968, Planned Parenthood of North Central Ohio (PPNCO) has encouraged individuals to take control of their health. Our mission is to promote family planning and assure reproductive self-determination for all individuals through advocacy, education and optimum health care services. Annually, PPNCO provides care to nearly 8,000 patients, over eight percent of whom are living at 150% poverty level or lower.
Planned Parenthood of North Central Ohio (PPNCO) is an affiliate of Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), which is the nation's largest and most trusted reproductive health care organization. PPNCO serves the counties of Ashland, Crawford, Morrow, Richland, and Wayne via clinics located in Galion, Mansfield, and Wooster.
In July 2007, Planned Parenthood of North Central Ohio joined four other local affiliates to become Planned Parenthood of Northeast Ohio.
