I recently met i guy i really like, who likes me back!but my new friend has been crushing on him for years. is it ok to say yes if he asks me out? Also hes a lot shorter then me, and i not sure if im ok with that.

This sounds like a tough situation. You can tell your friend how you feel and ask her how she feels about the situation. It’s important to remember that any time you confront or discuss your feelings with somebody you’re taking a risk. You may feel vulnerable or may get hurt in the process, so you need to decide whether having this conversation is worth the risk.

It’s normal to worry about having a boyfriend who’s shorter than you, but only you can decide if it matters enough to keep you from going out with him.

No relationship is perfect all of the time. In a healthy relationship, both people feel good about the relationship most of the time. Healthy relationships have six basic qualities:

  • respect
  • honesty and trust
  • fairness and equality
  • good communication
  • Notice that having a boyfriend that’s shorter than you is not on this list!
